Following on the Nigyh Bus notification by the Glasgow bus non-partnership as explained fully in yesterday’s blog, fbb has found a map of the current (2017???) routes on First’s web site. We can contrast and compare with McGills highly simplified diagram.\n

It appears that six routes have become five. Enquiring minds might wonder why First’s N9 has become McGills N38. It is because McGills trunk route between Glasgow, Paisley and beyond is No 38<\/span>!<\/p>\n

Remember, electric buses? And there’s Ralph Roberts, on the leaflet cover with his hair dyed, enjoying a publicity stunt.<\/p>\n

We are told that First will be running four night routes<\/span>. The current map shows five remaining outside McGills “area”<\/span>,<\/p>\n

From 20th August, services 2 and 3 will see an increase in frequency, which will improve services for over 600,000 people per month in the city.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

The move will see service 2 – which runs from Faifley, through the city centre to Baillieston – increase in frequency to every ten minutes. Meanwhile, service 3 – which runs from Drumchapel, through the city centre to Govan – will increase in frequency to every 12 minutes.<\/span><\/div>\n

Both routes have seen significant growth in passenger number recovery following the pandemic and First Glasgow has utilised this data to help allocate its resource to meet this demand.<\/span><\/div>\n
