EFS Global is back on the acquisition trail having snapped up its 23rd business since 2015 with the addition of East Sussex-based ILS Holdings. The deal meant EFS acquired the holding company\u2019s two subsidiaries, Sussex Pallet Services and Independent Logistic Solutions, which is a freight collection and delivery service that operates throughout Europe.<\/p>\n
It also saw EFS boost its staff by 40 and consolidated its position in the south east even further, following the purchase of Kent-based sister firms Eminence Transport and Floryn last year.<\/p>\n
Sussex Pallet Services holds a licence authorising seven HGVs and four trailers out of an Uckfield operating centre and Independent Logistic Solutions can operate up to 20 vehicles and 16 trailers out of two depots in the county.<\/p>\n
The transaction is EFS Global\u2019s 23rd acquisition since 2015. It further consolidates the group\u2019s position in the South East region after it purchased sister companies Eminence Transport Ltd and Floryn Ltd last year which are located Kent. EFS Global now has 35 depots and offices across England and Scotland.<\/p>\n
Jordan Kellett, group strategy director at EFS Global who led on the deal, said: \u201cWe are thrilled to have ILS & Sussex Pallet Services join our ever-growing group \u2013 especially as they share our core value of always offering a high-quality service to customers. Their location will help to extend our Southern presence from Kent into East Sussex which will be a fantastic foundation for future planned growth.\u201d<\/p>\n
The team at Davis Blank Furniss, which was led by Sonio Singh \u2013 partner and head of corporate \u2013 advised on all elements of the deal including legal due diligence and transactional matters.<\/p>\n
It also included Lauren Sever, corporate and commercial senior associate, and Shiva Shadi, partner, who advised on employment matters.
