Here at Stagecoach South, we operate over 450 vehicles from 8 depots with workshops, and 3 outstations, across Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex.<\/p>\n
This isn\u2019t a desk job, it\u2019s about being out and about, engaging with your teams to lead and develop them, in maintaining our vehicles, property, plant and equipment, and to support our extensive network of bus services in the region. This is a critical role within the company and some of your key responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n
Supporting our safety culture and driving those key values and behaviours
\nLeading the deployment of our decarbonisation strategy
\nSetting and delivering high standards of vehicle reliability and presentation
\nDeveloping your depot engineering teams, so they have the knowledge and skills to deliver those reliably, with excellent presentation standards
\nDealing with stakeholders, such as Trade Unions and Local Authority public transport teams
\nAlways ensuring that we are complying with the law and appropriate regulations
\nEnsuring great day to day communication between the engineering, commercial and operational teams<\/p>\n
You will have experience of running large scale engineering departments, ideally in a vehicle\/plant multisite environment. Finally, what better place to live and work than the South Coast. This role is based in the historical city of Chichester, but you can live in surrounding areas.<\/p>\n
