{"id":8406,"date":"2024-10-04T06:55:00","date_gmt":"2024-10-04T06:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/camcab.co.uk\/ukwa-year-of-warehousing-golf-challenge\/"},"modified":"2024-10-04T06:55:00","modified_gmt":"2024-10-04T06:55:00","slug":"ukwa-year-of-warehousing-golf-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/camcab.co.uk\/ukwa-year-of-warehousing-golf-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"UKWA Year of Warehousing Golf Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Year of Warehousing Golf Challenge: Sunny skies and friendly competition as UKWA raises funds for Tempus Novo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The UKWA Golf Challenge, held at the beautiful Belton Woods in Grantham last month proved one of the highlights of 2024 The Year of Warehousing, with members and guests enjoying blue skies and friendly competition.<\/p>\n<p>The highlight of the day was the closely fought battle for the Best Team Prize, sponsored by Dexory, ultimately won by the Potter Space team\u2014Jason Rockett, Paul Fox, Joe Caunce, and Ben Carr\u2014who narrowly claimed victory over the Ash &amp; Lacy team \u2013 Jonathan Evans, David Nook, Will Woodhouse, and John Evans, who finished just one point behind.<\/p>\n<p>In the individual competition, sponsored by Tennant Company, Luke Myring from GXO clinched 1st place, with some standout performances in the special categories: Sam Teather from John Charles Search won the Longest Drive, which was sponsored by Complete3PL, while Adrian Hardy from Lemonpath nailed the Nearest the Pin, sponsored by Problems Solved.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the day, UKWA CEO Clare Bottle thanked all involved, including hole sponsors\u2014Clegg Gifford, GXO, Locus Robotics, Maersk, Unipart and Yusen Logistics\u2014 and former CEO Peter Ward, who joined the UKWA team to help with organising the successful day and hosting the evening\u2019s proceedings.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Clegg Gifford and John Lewis generously donated raffle prizes, which helped raise funds for UKWA\u2019s charity partner for the event, Tempus Novo, who are doing remarkable work helping ex-offenders rebuild their lives through employment.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>During the Prize-giving Dinner, co-founders Steve Freer and Val Wawrosz delivered an inspiring and entertaining presentation, demonstrating the impact of their transformative work.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to support such an important cause and look forward to continuing our partnership,\u201d Clare said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith great golf, valuable networking, and inspiring moments, the UKWA Golf Challenge was a day to remember.
