Trainee Schedule Compiler / Experienced Schedule Compiler

 
Go-Ahead London is the largest bus operator in London, running approximately a quarter of London’s red buses on behalf of Transport for London. We have garages across South West, South East and East London, operating many of London’s most high profile bus routes.

We are looking to recruit Trainee and Experienced Schedule Compilers. These are exciting roles offering the opportunity to work at our Head Office in the Network Planning department where timetables are created, driver duties compiled, and rotas constructed. These are all important tasks that contribute to the success of our business.

For both roles, candidates need to demonstrate or be able to show a willingness to learn the following skills.

Able to compile timetables, driver duties and rotas for TfL tenders and planned service changes
Analyse running times and be proactive in making recommendations to improve schedules
Able to communicate schedules related information clearly and concisely either by email, telephone or on Teams video calls
Strong numeracy and literacy skills
A general interest in passenger transport including a good geographical knowledge of London
An ability to work as part of a team or independently when needed
Experience or understanding of electric bus scheduling
The ability to deliver work to deadlines An organised and structured approach
