A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen within our really good bus company and we’re on the hunt for someone to step up and take a leading role within the commercial team of one of the most dynamic, customer focused and forward thinking bus companies in the UK.

The individual

At trentbarton we’re all about people, and we’re looking to find someone wanting to take the next step to a leading role within our commercial team. The individual must be a driven, self-motivated leader capable of inspiring fellow team members to meet their full potential. They will have excellent communication skills and set the highest of standards for themselves and those around them. The individual will have a thirst for data and excellent analytical skills. They will have experience of scheduling, network planning, revenue budgeting and ticketing strategy as well as contributing to business cases and undertaking post-delivery evaluation. The individual will have been included in seeking out new opportunities and assessing their suitability for our business. Capable of building strong stakeholder relationships the individual will be expected to represent the company’s interests in a number of different forums.

The challenge

Our Commercial Manager takes a leading role within our commercial team, reporting directly to our Head of Commercial. They are responsible for our commercial delivery and strategy, taking a lead role in setting and delivering our revenue budget. Reporting directly to the Head of Commercial, the Commercial Manager has responsibility for; fares strategy, route performance & development, tender & contract pricing, procurement & maintenance, business case writing & evaluation, commercial performance monitoring & analysis. In this crucial role, the successful individual will have the opportunity to have a significant impact on the development and evolution of our business, especially at a time when so much within our world is changing.
