We are searching for a talented Head of Operations to provide engaging leadership and hands on direction for the operations and service control teams, initially across four locations in Greater Manchester.

Go North West was formed 2019 when Go-Ahead acquired Queens Road depot from First Bus. In 2023, the company was proud to be selected to operate the first two large franchises as part of Greater Manchester’s evolving Bee Network.

The company currently operates 500 buses, employing over 1,300 local people. We place huge importance on our transparent, collaborative style, both with our colleagues and stakeholders including Transport for Greater Manchester and across the wider group of Go-Ahead companies.

Go North West already plays a crucial part in Greater Manchester’s transport network and bus franchising represents a major growth opportunity for the company, both within and beyond our current operating territory, placing us at the forefront of evolving transport policy in the UK.

The Head of Operations will work with those teams to further strengthen operational delivery, find smarter ways of working and improve performance. They will also inspire strong employee and stakeholder relationships and have responsibility for significant portions of the company’s profit and loss. You will shape culture and further develop Go North West’s reputation for innovation and agility.
