Recycling and waste disposal expert, W&S Waste Management Ltd, has announced the addition of twelve new Renault Trucks Cs to its fleet. The company has taken delivery of three C460 8x4s with Boughton hook lift bodies, with nine more set to arrive later this year.
These high-specification vehicles form part of W&S Waste Management’s ongoing vehicle upgrade programme of its 50-strong fleet, which serves national waste contracts including Local Authority Household Recycling Centres across Dorset and Oxfordshire.
This acquisition represents a significant win for Sparks Commercial Services in Poole, thanks to the efforts of Transport Solution Executive, Rob Coxon. The new trucks are funded through Renault Trucks Financial Services, and are on a two-year, 90,000 km per annum full repair and maintenance package, with servicing provided by Sparks Commercial Services depots in Poole and Swindon.
While W&S Waste Management Ltd has previously utilised Renault Trucks, these latest additions mark their satisfaction with the brand. Paul Stanley, Transport Manager at W&S Waste Management Ltd, explained the decision: “Rob Coxon and Sparks Commercial Services have consistently delivered exceptional service for our other vehicles. Rob has always been outstanding. The favourable terms and impressive features of these new vehicles sealed the deal for us.”
The new C460s are powered by Renault Trucks’ efficient DE11 litre engine, producing 460hp and 2200 Nm of torque, and are equipped with the Optidriver ATO 2612 gearbox with automatic clutch. To enhance driver comfort, the trucks feature 4-point cab air suspension, leather steering wheels, air conditioning, heated luxury driver’s seats, refrigerated bottle holders, and additional storage. Safety is also a priority, with the vehicles equipped with a 4-camera DVR system, turn-left warning, BBS reverse alarm, front and rear strobe lights, roof beacon, and two rear LED work lamps.
Paul emphasised the importance of driver comfort in selecting these vehicles: “We want to show our appreciation for our drivers’ hard work by providing them with these high-spec trucks. Happy drivers mean better performance, and these new trucks will be a welcome addition.”
Paul added: “With our operations particularly busy during the summer season, the timing of these deliveries is perfect. We anticipate that these new Renault Trucks will significantly enhance our efficiency and the wellbeing of our drivers, enabling us to continue to grow our business.”
